Pruritogenesis

Pruritis (or itch) may be chemically-induced in mice or rats with certain pruritogenic substances such as Chloroquine. The behavior measured is body scratches within a defined period of time. Compounds may be dosed to alleviate or block this activity and compared to known antipruritic control substances.
