Pharmacology

Product Safety Labs (PSL) offers a wide range of pharmacology test services to clients in the pharmaceutical and dietary supplement/nutraceutical industries using suitable animal models. Most studies are non-GLP, although GLP is available if needed. Studies are regularly conducted on rodents , rabbits, dogs, swine and primates.

Dr Gary Grover, PSL Director of Pharmacology, Dr Henry Jacoby, Senior Technical Advisor, and their staff provide PSL's pharmaceutical test services. Each had managed drug development and evaluation and in-vivo/vitro pharmacology at Big Pharma companies (Johnson & Johnson, Merck and Bristol-Myers Squibb) for over 20 years. Each has also published numerous peer- reviewed articles and book chapters.

Dr Grover is an associate professor at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. His main areas of experience and many of his publications are in cardiovascular drug and device research and metabolic diseases (diabetes, obesity, metabolic syndrome). Dr Jacoby is a recognized expert in GI pharmacology. Jamie Boulet, Senior Scientist, has extensive experience conducting various animal model studies of CNS function, including pain, neuropathy, spinal cord injury and Parkinsonism.

Both are available to advise clients and design and conduct the in vivo/in vitro pharmacology studies.
